Family fun – the alps in the summer

I have just had a great week with a family group whose ages ranged from 5 to 75. Here to celebrate Gramps’ 75th birthday the family arrived from the UK and Dubai to spend the week celebrating and making the most of the activiites available here in the Alps during the summer. Gramps went hiking, white water rafting and swimming in the lake plus a quick demonstation of how to do a handstand in the garden to entertain his two little grand daughters – he really did put most of us to shame.

His 3 grandson’s went moutain biking on most days and covered most of the Portes du Soleil in their week – they had a fantastic time and were all exhausted by the end of the week. Chatel really is a mecca for the moutain biker. Then they all spent a day at Lake Leman (Lake Geneva) jumping off diving boards into the lake and generally messing about in the water.

They have all gone home with great memories of a family week of fun and are threatening to come back next year….. Bring it on!
